About Jennifer Stathos

Jennifer Stathos will graduate Arizona State University in May 2009. Jennifer hopes to take her eventual undergraduate degree in Communications and Journalism to a career in the Media field. With Ms. Jennifer Stathos’ considerable academic achievements thus far in her undergraduate career (such achievements include making the Dean’s List and earning high academic honors), her prospects in any career field that she should choose are certainly promising.

Today, Jennifer Stathos runs a successful swim school during the Summer months in Sacramento, California. As the Owner/Director of the enterprise, Ms. Stathos is an entrepreneur who daily faces multiple tasks and responsibilities. In other words, Jennifer wears many different hats (or swim caps, as the case may be). At first, Jennifer had to design and distribute fliers touting her years of experience as a competitive swimmer, including her swimming records and awards, as well as her training in teaching swimming to local elementary schools. Thankfully, due to the success of her early efforts, this is no longer necessary as the word of mouth response to Jenny’s outstanding swim classes has been overwhelming, and today, the summer sessions fill up within the first few hours on registration day, leaving some would-be students on the waiting list. Still, Stathos must take calls to register swimmers and group students by age and level of swimming. Dovetailing with the basic registration efforts, Jennifer is responsible for all ongoing marketing efforts, as well as public relations with parents and students. Jennifer also compiles daily lesson plans with stated objectives for the kids and is in the water teaching 30-minute group lessons back-to-back every weekday all summer long. Jenny has also learned the value of maintaining a clean, warm pool that kids are comfortable in, as well as maintaining an observation area for parents.

Jennifer Stathos has an established history in sports and swimming. She began competing in swimming at the age of six, and in high school, Jennifer Stathos won high point and/or MVP in every age group, as well as held high school records and won a gold medal in every event in the High School Meet of Champions.
